liturgical music

One of my life's most enduring passions is to foster the sung prayer of communities gathered in faith. Whether composing, arranging, or serving in leadership, I've been blessed and humbled by being a witness to the uplifting of hearts and voices in prayer.

O Christ Our Life for congregation, mixed voices (2-part, SATB), guitar, keyboard, opt. string quartet

Open My Heart for congregation, cantor, mixed voices (two-voice harmony, SATB voices), piano, cello or C instrument, bass drum

I composed this piece for a 2007 conference of Jesuit educators and campus ministers. The heart’s call to service was the theme for that year, and “Open My Heart” sought to evoke that call by beating a drum throughout the work. This is a very open-ended piece, which can be sung with accompaniment of everything from piano to sitar to organ to native American percussion.

Accepted for publication. Availability TBD.

Spirit of Our God for congregation, mixed voices (SATB), guitar, flute, keyboard

A metric adaptation of the beloved plainchant Veni, creator Spiritus serves as the foundation for a meditative invocation of the Holy Spirit to illuminate us with the love, wisdom, and grace of the Holy Trinity.
